Paxie Córdova

Paxie G. Córdova Escalera is Director of Grants & Program Management at Tidal Basin.

Prior, he was Director for the Housing, Community Development and Infrastructure (HCDI) team at Tidal Basin Caribe. He is an accomplished engineering and public service professional and served as the Program Manager for Puerto Rico’s Community Energy and Water Resilience Installations (CEWRI) program.  

Since joining the Tidal Basin Caribe team in May 2023, Córdova has managed various aspects of the CEWRI program, including coordination, evaluation, and certification of participants and distributing roles between program installers. He oversees the approval of systems designs and installations, the preparation and implementation of work plans, and supervises over 45 employees. His responsibilities extend to coordinating with the Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) on program-related matters.  

Before joining Tidal Basin Caribe, Córdova served as the Grants Office Assistant Manager for Government Agencies at the Central Office for Recovery, Reconstruction, and Resiliency (COR3) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he was instrumental in inter-agency coordination and strategic project completion. Prior to COR3, Córdova held positions as a Special Aid to the Governor of Puerto Rico and the Chief of Staff and Special Aid to the Secretary at the Department of Transportation and Public Works. 

A graduate of the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1995, Córdova has built a career marked by significant contributions to his community. He has served as the past president of the board of directors of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Puerto Rico chapter and the “Festival de La Palabra,” Puerto Rico’s most prominent international literature festival. Córdova is a published author and a motivational speaker inspiring students interested in engineering and related professions.
