Tamara Ficarella

Tamara is the Assistant Vice President of State, Local & Commercial Resource Planning and Development at Tidal Basin, focusing on creating skilled management professionals. She supports growth across the operations teams, offering training and development opportunities. With a career spanning nearly two decades in emergency management and financial operations, Tamera excels in disaster grant management and training. 

Tamara began her emergency management career in 2014, building on ten years of experience in the banking sector, where she developed her skills in management and operations. She has held roles such as Senior Audit Lead, Disaster Liaison, Project Specialist, and Financial program lead. Her work includes disaster recovery efforts on over twenty major Federal declarations following the Wildfires in Alaska (2015), including Hurricane Sandy, Irene, and Tropical Storm Lee.    

She has managed financial aspects of disasters, overseeing projects with budgets over $2 billion. Her achievements include leading major disaster declaration closeouts, financial project reconciliations, and FEMA reimbursement efforts for DR-4480 (COVID Pandemic). 

Her background in financial services, including positions at First Niagara Financial Group, demonstrates her expertise in compliance, operational monitoring, and merger leadership. Tamara is recognized for her critical thinking and data analysis, providing strategic insights in complex disaster management scenarios.
