Clay Greninger is the Assistant Vice President of Financial, Grant, and Program Management for Tidal Basin Group, where he focuses on financial risk and compliance solutions.

With over 24 years of professional experience in internal and external audit, risk, and compliance, including over ten years with «Big Four» accounting firms, Clay has demonstrated successes in compliance, risk management, information technology, and operations across various industries and complex organizations.

Additional key accomplishments include:

  • Creating and deployment of a new risk-based compliance program impacting over 20M US customers
  • Launching a third-party risk program to oversee over 1K enterprise vendors directly
  • Directing IT strategy, project delivery, budget, and technical oversight for campus-wide networking, computing and storage, data center facilities, and telecommunications
  • Overseeing enterprise Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance, third-party risk, and federal policy implementations
  • Supervising governance, risk, and compliance solutions, including compliance frameworks
  • Designing and delivering a compliance education program for Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA), privacy, information security, and Code of Conduct (COC), administered to 70K FTE and 30K contractors annually
  • Delivering $5M+ scalability projects that allowed for 100% execution of financial close within a three-day target.
  • Awarded “Deliver IT” recognition for the first cloud-based finance system and “Delight the Customer” award for work on Microsoft’s SAP Enterprise Upgrade.

Clay leverages his financial modeling and robust audit and analytics background to optimize finance processes, procedures, and related technologies. He instills financial close, reporting, and scalability discipline based on cloud-first strategies.

Before joining TB Mosaic Financial, Clay served in business, finance, and technology executive roles for multiple consulting firms, including two Big 4 and an industry-leading healthcare organization.

Clay has strong ties to the healthcare industry, primarily focusing on complex healthcare payor/provider audits, compliance, and risk engagements. In his healthcare-focused roles, he led the development of quality frameworks to support clients with reporting for quality measures under the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidance. He also served in retail industries, driving technology-enabled process improvements for a complex, matrixed Fortune 100 retailer to meet organizational security and integrated SOX and PCI compliance requirements.

Clay earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Missouri Southern State University and his master’s degree in information systems from the University of Arkansas. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is affiliated with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
