Senior Director, Communications


Cynthia Gutierrez-White is the Senior Director of Communications for Tidal Basin Group. Her focus is developing and implementing communications and media relations initiatives to increase public awareness of Tidal Basin Group and it’s affiliated companies, furthering engagement within the communities we support through our various programs. 

Cynthia is a nationally recognized communications professional with over 20 years of experience. She joined us from ADG Strategy Group, where she served as a communications consultant for several years. In addition to supporting clients with executing their communications strategies and creating marketing content, she has also coordinated with development teams and government affairs agencies to secure donations and research grants for her clients. 

She also worked at Johns Hopkins Medicine as Senior Director of Strategic Communications and Public Affairs and managed the internal and external communications, public relations, media relations, and crisis communications for the $8 billion system that unites the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with the Johns Hopkins Health System.  

Before Hopkins, Cynthia served as National Senior Officer of Hispanic Public Relations and Communications with the American Red Cross, National Headquarters in Washington D.C., where she promoted its humanitarian mission and developed comprehensive strategies to drive earned media visibility on media outlets nationwide. 

Cynthia speaks English and Spanish, has a B.S. in communications with a concentration in broadcasting, a M.S. in management, and is certified in digital marketing.
