Elizabeth (Liz) Skillin

Elizabeth (Liz) Skillin is Tidal Basin’s State Director in Hawaii. Before joining Tidal Basin, she worked on large projects across several industries, specializing in business development, revenue generation and cross-functional collaboration. In 2022, she served as campaign manager for current Hawaii Governor, Josh Green.  

Prior to serving as the Governor’s campaign manager, Liz was the Director of Communications for the State of Hawaii, where she worked directly with the Lt. Governor and the Chief of Staff on several key issues and crises, including homelessness, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Red Hill fuel spill. In this role, she also served as the primary press contact for local and national inquiries and developed a COVID-19 dashboard conveying timely information on the medical response for state and medical leadership. 

Early in her career, Liz worked in a variety of marketing roles primarily in the hospitality industry, including working for the globally-renowned hospitality food and facilities management company, Sodexo.

Education

  • Elizabeth holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business from the University of Hawaii at West Oahu.
