Luis Rosero is Tidal Basin’s Controller. Prior to joining the Tidal Basin team, Luis was the Associate Vice President of Accounting Operations at Walker & Dunlop, where he led the team responsible for overseeing various operations, initiating multiple system implementations, and leading the development of new functions that considerably boosted operational efficiency, saving over $500K. 

His prior tenure at Deloitte as a Finance Manager saw him providing business owners with strategic insight and financial analysis, assisting in building budgets, forecasts, and financial models. Additionally, he managed a global team supporting multiple business lines across North and South America, handling period close for the Deloitte entity of the Americas. 

As the Director of Finance and Accounting at an Information Tech firm, Luis successfully built the finance and accounting function from scratch. His role revolved around setting policies and controls and closely working with the C-suite to develop relevant reporting. He significantly increased the cash flow through strategic partnership programs. 

Luis brings invaluable professional expertise to the table and a commendable record of board service with the Asian American Center of Frederick. His vast experience, coupled with his dedication to excellence, makes Luis a powerhouse Controller integral to Tidal Basin’s financial management. 

Luis is a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. His financial proficiency is bolstered by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
