Ms. Amador is a Senior Director on the mitigation team with Tidal Basin Caribe. Prior to joining Tidal Basin Caribe, she served as the Benefit Cost Analysis lead and as technical advisor for project development, scopes, and budget narratives at another industry-known emergency management firm.

Maria’s 30+ years of experience includes extensive experience in both the private and public sectors and includes experience in the Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA – 406) and the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP – 404) at the Natural and Cultural Resources Sector Puerto Rico’s DR4336-4339 to FEMA’s Housing and Community Development Disaster Recovery Office work after Hurricane Hugo in 1989.

She received her bachelor’s and took master’s level courses at the University of Puerto Rico.
