Peg serves as Tidal Basin’s Deputy Director of Recovery. With a background in leadership and risk management, she brings with her an extensive repertoire of disaster response and recovery skills. With 30 years of experience in emergency management and known as a trailblazer in her field, Peg is recognized for her innovative strategies that enhance recovery efforts and provide crucial assistance to communities in need.
Peg’s project experience is unparalleled, particularly her role in overseeing the closeouts of large and small projects in coordination with a FEMA Closeout Specialist. Her expertise in compliance and coordination between local government and FEMA has led to successful disaster recovery efforts, especially those following the hurricanes of 2004 and 2005. Peg has experience developing and implementing tracking procedures for documenting costs, and she is also committed to empowering local governments through extensive training and cultivating an understanding of proper documentation for FEMA reimbursement.
In her role at Tidal Basin, Peg manages recovery operations, strengthening our team dynamics and continually enhancing our disaster response strategies. With a focus on best practices and innovative methodologies, Peg aims to solidify Tidal Basin’s reputation as a prime authority in disaster management.
