Please join us in welcoming Chynequa King to the Tidal Basin family! Chynequa is a Project Manager and the newest addition in the Program and Grant Management division of our Community Development, Housing, and Infrastructure team. She will be supporting the new Vermont Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) program.
Chynequa has a background in local, state, and federal grant compliance, as well as affordable housing. She is a public administrative professional with over 10 years of experience in program development, improvement, operations, and community planning. She comes to Tidal Basin from city government where she served as assistant manager of community development for nearly five years. While there she managed a $12 million project portfolio with grants including the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs.
In addition to her grants management experience, Chynequa is also a licensed realtor. Part of her mission as a real estate agent is to provide resources to first-time home buyers, connecting them with possible homeowner grant opportunities and resources that can help improve their financial standing.
Prior to her work in real estate and city government, she filled various roles in the public service sector with a heavy focus on community building and supporting individuals to grow their social and financial assets.
