About the project

Tidal Basin provides case management services for the $800 million CDBG-DR-funded economic recovery program portfolio in Puerto Rico. Case management services include intake, eligibility, HUD income verification, award coordination, and closeout services.

Case managers provide technical assistance to applicants for the CDBG-DR Economic Recovery Programs and other initiatives within the Puerto Rico CDBG Disaster Recovery Action Plan and assist with application completion in both English and Spanish. We support two programs: the Small Business Financing Program (SBF) and the Re-Grow PR Urban and Rural Agriculture Program (Re-Grow).

Months after the storm passed, the County was still faced with tremendous burdens related to the insurance coverage issues and FEMA and MEMA eligibility issues.
