Ashlee’s interest in emergency management began after Hurricane Andrew destroyed her hometown in a suburb southwest of Miami, FL, in 1992. She knew she wanted to be part of the solution in disasters instead of a bystander. In 2003, she began her career in Emergency Management. Since then, Ashlee has responded to 14 major disasters and three mass casualty accidents while helping countless entities strengthen their preparedness programs.
