About Maria Judith Amador
Join us in welcoming Maria Judith Amador, Sr. Director of Mitigation, to Tidal Basin Caribe. With over 30 years of experience, Maria was previously the Benefit Cost Analysis lead at another industry-known emergency management firm, where she also served as technical advisor for project development, scopes, and budget narratives.
Maria’s extensive experience covered both the private and public sectors and includes the Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA – 406) and the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP – 404) at the Natural and Cultural Resources Sector Puerto Rico’s DR4336-4339 to FEMA’s Housing and Community Development Disaster Recovery Office work after Hurricane Hugo in 1989.
She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Puerto Rico.
About Deborah L. Diaz
Deborah Diaz joins the Tidal Basin Caribe team as a Director of Mitigation and will be based out of the Puerto Rico office. Prior to joining Tidal Basin, Diaz served as the group supervisor and branch chief for the Hazard Mitigation Community Planning Program and Flood Plain Management and Insurance Program.
Diaz has over 20 years of management experience and collaboration with external agencies to conduct mission-oriented analysis of complex survivor-centric issues. She is an emergency manager who has led assorted teams under challenging operational environments.
Diaz holds a bachelor’s degree in general arts, urban planning, and environmental ecology from the University of Puerto Rico.
