On September 20th, the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties hosted Mohawk Valley Gives, a 24-hour online campaign to raise funds for local nonprofits. On that day over 1,900 donors gave $620,312 to 137 nonprofits in Herkimer and Oneida Counties in Central New York. To encourage donors, Rising Phoenix Holding Corporation (RPCH) sponsored the Peer-to-Peer Rising Earner Awards and the Peer-to-Peer Donor Awards.

“Rising Phoenix was proud to be part of the inaugural Mohawk Valley Gives event,” said Ronald A. Cuccaro, Executive Chairman, Rising Phoenix Holdings Corporation. “Together we made a difference in the community where our company operates and so many of us reside.”

One of the nonprofits that benefitted from the Peer-to-Peer Award was the Midtown Utica Community Center (MUCC), an inclusive multicultural and refugee-friendly space based in Utica, New York.

This organization reached out to RPHC writing “Shout out for sponsoring the Mohawk Valley Gives Peer to Peer award, of which MUCC was one of the lucky winners!!Words can’t express how much we appreciate you supporting local non-profits.”
