Third Party Integrity Monitoring

The federal government provides over $400 billion in assistance to State and local governments as well as to individuals every year. This federal assistance is administered through numerous programs across every federal agency and department. In order to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and control costs federal agencies require third party verification, compliance confirmation, validation, authentication, e.g., third party monitoring.

Tidal Basin provides program management, oversight, review, and integrity monitoring to ensure programs are administered in the most cost efficient manner, maximizing their assistance to organizations and individuals across the United States.

Programs that Tidal Basin and its staff have supported include:

  • USDA (Avian Flu)
  • FEMA Individual Assistance: Technical Assistance (IATAC)
  • FEMA Housing Inspection Services (HIS)
    • Tidal Basin is part of a Vanguard Joint Venture strategic partnership with Atkins North America and the Louis Berger Group to provide disaster-related housing inspections for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Following federal disasters qualifying for FEMA’s Individual Assistance funding, Vanguard EM deploys housing inspectors to the affected locations who verify ownership and occupancy plus record disaster-related damages to the house onto electronic hand-held tablets. That information is then used by FEMA to determine amount of funding available to the household.
  • Hazard Mitigation: Technical Assistance
